Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

4 miles continuously, 3 with some breaks.

I am thankful that I can run more than 5 minutes today. I have been dealing with

IT band issues for the last month. Turns out that I have weak hips. Took some time off and have been slowly increasing my running. I started with running 2 minutes, walking 3 for 20 minutes. It was hard to go from marathon training to that. I'm just grateful that it happened AFTER St. George and not before. (Cuz that sucker stopped me dead in my tracks with knee pain) I'm trying not to go crazy adding mileage back in. I know it will come but at the same time, I am trying to keep my sanity. I'm a much more patient person and mother when I get my run in.....

So today I am grateful for many things. Being able to run 4 miles continuously without pain is one of them.

2.5 miles with breaks and 2 miles continuously. By the end of it, I was feeling the outside of my knee.
