4 miles continuously, 3 with some breaks. I am thankful that I can run more than 5 minutes today. I have been dealing with IT band issues for the last month. Turns out that I have weak hips. Took some time off and have been slowly increasing my running. I started with running 2 minutes, walking 3 for 20 minutes. It was hard to go from marathon training to that. I'm just grateful that it happened AFTER St. George and not before. (Cuz that sucker stopped me dead in my tracks with knee pain) I'm trying not to go crazy adding mileage back in. I know it will come but at the same time, I am trying to keep my sanity. I'm a much more patient person and mother when I get my run in..... So today I am grateful for many things. Being able to run 4 miles continuously without pain is one of them. |
