Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

Something nasty blasted through my family this past weekend. Everything on my inside wanted to be on my outside. Finally felt up to running today. And it felt great.Average pace 8:55.

Outside miles today. 1 mile warm up followed by 2 faster miles, 2 recovery miles, 2 faster miles, 2 recovery miles, 2 faster miles, 1 mile cool down. My garmin is being wonky so I don't know paces but I'm pretty sure the faster miles were between 7:45-8:15 min/miles.

And now we feast.

Every few weeks I've been doing the same tempo run just so I can see and measure my progress. Here are today's tempo miles compared to the same run 2 and 6 weeks ago. Its an out and back course that starts out downhill so of course, it ends uphill, hence the slow down. Today I really felt that I couldn't go faster. Fun to see progress. I'm a nerd.
